Kristy McKearn serves as LED undersecretary, overseeing multiple
divisions within LED, including legislative affairs, accounting,
information technology and human resources, as well as managing the
Board of Commerce & Industry and Louisiana Economic Development
Corporation.
Experience
Prior to joining LED, McKearn served as senior vice president of
governmental affairs at Baton Rouge Area Chamber, or BRAC. At the
chamber, she designed and led all aspects of BRAC's governmental
advocacy efforts at the federal, state and local levels.
Before joining BRAC, McKearn was a public policy advisor for
Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz, chief strategic
officer/vice president of business operations for the New Orleans
Hornets and director of research for New Orleans Metropolitan
Convention & Visitors Bureau, as well as a policy analyst for
former Gov. Mike Foster.
