South Louisiana Economic Council's (SLEC) Bayou Region Center for Economic Growth and Technology, Small Business Incubator offers affordable space for new and emerging businesses for up to three years.  In addition to space, the incubator provides additional support for each of the services offered by SLEC.

The U.S. Small Business Administration was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy.

Through its many programs and activities, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, or SME, connects manufacturing practitioners to the latest technology and the most up-to-date processes spanning all manufacturing industries and disciplines, plus the key areas of aerospace and defense, medical device, motor vehicles, including motorsports, oil and gas and alternative energy.

Established in April 1997, South Central Industrial Association is a network for industrial businesses in the tri-parish area that includes Terrebonne, Lafourche and St. Mary parishes.

The South Louisiana Economic Council is a regionally focused economic development agency servicing the parishes of Assumption, Lafourche, St. Mary and Terrebonne. Formed in 1983, SLEC provides industrial assistance and programs designed to create economic growth for the Bayou Region.

Southeast Business Center's mission is to facilitate economic development by providing a regional "one-stop-shop" for economic development activity in Southeast Louisiana and to develop partnerships that directly or indirectly contribute to economic renewal and diversification.

The Southeast Region of Louisiana is made up of parishes encompassing 4,860 square miles near the mouth of the Mississippi River and straddling the commercial transportation crossroads of the north-central coast of the Gulf of Mexico.

The region's parishes include Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist and St. Tammany.

SUSLA assists small, women and minority business owners by offering business support resources and services.

Comprising three campuses that make up the nation's only historically Black university system, Southern University Law Center's program of study is designed to ensure that students graduate with a comprehensive knowledge of civil law and common law.

The incubator at Southern University of New Orleans serves the local community in successful development of start-up and fledgling companies by providing entrepreneurs with an array of targeted resources and services. The business incubator’s main goal is to produce successful enterprises that will leave the program financially viable and freestanding.

Southwest Louisiana Business Development Center provides innovation and experience to create and implement specialized Business Training and Technical Assistance programs for Minorities, Women, Native Americans, Veterans and Small Emerging Business Enterprises.

The Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance is the umbrella organization of the Chamber/SWLA, the SWLA Alliance Foundation and the Southwest Louisiana Partnership for Economic Development. These regional economic development organizations, each with its own board of directors, have combined resources to strengthen the business recruiting and retention efforts for Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron and Jefferson Davis parishes.

Springboard Baton Rouge is a private, non-profit organization with the mission of establishing a collaborative partnership between various non-profit and for-profit entities in an entrepreneurial campus for the purpose of stimulating, nurturing and growing creativity in our next generation of entrepreneurs.

The goal of  the North Webster Parish Chamber of Commerce is to promote the commercial, industrial, civic, cultural and general interest of Springhill, Cullen, Sarepta, Shongaloo, Cotton Valley and all of North Webster Parish.

The St. Bernard Chamber is a professional business organization committed to the representation and support of our local business community.  With the help of our membership and the direction of the Board of Directors, the Chamber continues to grow while cultivating a better business environment for St. Bernard Parish and providing growth opportunities for our members.

The St. Landry Parish Economic Industrial Development District (SLEIDD) was formed in 1997 for the purpose of attracting new job creating industry to St. Landry Parish.

The St. Martin Economic Development Authority offers resources that stimulate the growth of St. Martin Parish’s economy by creating and maintaining an optimum environment for both new and existing businesses, offering services that facilitate the growth and expansion of those businesses, and generating opportunities to increase the sales tax base of the communities in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana.

The chamber strives to promote the economic, educational and governmental interests of the business community; to promote integrity and just and equitable principals in business in the community; to acquire and distribute area statistics and information; and generally to assist the advancement and progress of the business community in the St. Mary area.

St. Mary Industrial Group is a nonprofit organization that functions primarily as a political action group focusing its efforts on community needs in the area of industrial, economic and employee/employer concerns in St. Mary Parish.

St. Mary Parish's economy has diversified from an agricultural base to a mix of agriculture and industry. Industrial segments include mineral extraction (oil/gas) and support industries, to leaders in shipbuilding, underwater services and metal fabrication.

Founded in 1981, St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation's mission is to promote the existing businesses in St. Tammany and to attract new business and employment opportunities to the Northshore.

The mission of St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce is to strengthen the business climate of West St. Tammany by promoting the community’s continued development and enhancing the economic vitality of the region. The member businesses are supported in a variety of ways, providing peer-to-peer networking opportunities, educating the public at large on issues of importance and advocating for favorable laws within the state legislature.

Ideally located at the LSU South Research Park, the 1,200-square foot student incubator provides shared work space and a collaborative business environment for new student ventures. You bring the business concept and the student incubator provides facilities, professional meeting spaces, furniture and equipment, and mentoring for you to start, operate, and grow your business. The LBTC has successfully helped more than 500 entrepreneurs turn their ideas into businesses.
