The Biomedical Research Foundation (BRF) of Northwest Louisiana’s mission is to pioneer a knowledge-based regional economy by cultivating and attracting life science enterprises and related technologies to Northwest Louisiana. BRF is an independent, nonprofit organization established in 1986. It was founded through a recommendation from the Mt. Auburn Study, an economic development report that identified new initiatives to diversify the Shreveport-Bossier economy.
