Regional Planning Districts

The Regional Planning Commission for Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard and St. Tammany parishes is a 26-member board of local elected officials and citizen members appointed to represent the citizenry on regional issues.

The Capital Region Planning Commission serves 11 parishes within the Capital Region: Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana. As the regional MPO, CRPC focuses on transportation planning issues.

South Central Planning performs a variety of services to meet the changing needs and challenges of its member governments. These services include long range planning, state and federal liaison, current issues, membership services and services to business and citizens.

Established in 1967, Kisatchie-Delta Regional Planning and Development District is a nonprofit, planning and development agency that provides economic development assistance, comprehensive planning, community development and technical assistance.

The Coordinating and Development Council serves the economic, community, workforce and business development needs of the following 10 parishes in Northwest Louisiana: Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Lincoln, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine and Webster.

North Delta Regional and Development District is a regional planning and resource center for the state of Louisiana that serves the following 11 Northeast Louisiana parishes: Caldwell, East Carroll, Franklin, Jackson, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Tensas, Union and West Carroll.
