In October 2008, Cameron Valves & Measurements announced
plans to expand its Ville Platte, La., creating new job
opportunities and strengthening the local economy. The company will
build a new 125,000-square-foot building that will house 110 new
employees.
This expansion will increase large-bore valve capacity,
streamline manufacturing processes and improve efficiency for the
company, which is a division of global oilfield services company
Cameron International.
With operations throughout the globe, Cameron International is
regarded as one of the leading providers of flow equipment
products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas and process
industries. Cameron Valves & Measurement Plant Manager Josh
Stanford said the company's executives consider the Louisiana
expansion to be one of the company's most important projects.
"This expansion project is Cameron's second-largest
manufacturing capital investment worldwide," said Stanford. "The
expansion will secure Ville Platte's future in the valve
manufacturing industry."
Cameron Valves & Measurement manufactures a selection of
actuators, chokes and valves for the petroleum and process
industries. These products help direct and control the flow of oil
and gas from wellheads to refineries and petrochemical plants.
